"For You are God, O Sovereign Lord. Your words are truth,
and You have promised these good things to Your servant" (2 Samuel 7:28, NLT).
The Rain* language project in Africa has birthed a local association called ACATBLI. The team's goal is to transfer responsibility for the project from SIL** to the Rain men and women of ACATBLI during the course of 2009.
Please pray for wisdom and a smooth transition. Also pray for the Rain translation team, as they get ready for the arrival of the Rain New Testament by preparing Scripture-use materials and building up relationships with churches in the area.
The Rain literacy team oversees 268 adult literacy classes this year with over 6,000 students enrolled.
Pray that the students will work hard so that they can pass final exams. Also pray for the success of trial classes for a course that will help Rain literates make the transition to reading French.
